Lt. Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 45 year old Bryan Shawn Ollis, of Phillips Road in Spruce Pine, with possession of methamphetamine. At 1:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1st, Cook was on U.S. 70 West when he spotted Ollis driving a vehicle. Lt. Cook knew Ollis didn’t have a valid driver’s license. Cook stopped the automobile, and a search revealed 1.9 grams of methamphetamine and Ollis was arrested.
