Jennifer Ann Hoilman, age 47, of Stewart Road in Bakersville, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on August 12, 1972 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of Eddie and Kathy Tipton Tunks. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Harry and Azaleen Tipton, Paul and Viola Williams, and Ann Tunks.
Ann was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church and was employed by the North Carolina Department of Corrections. She was a 1990 graduate of Mitchell High School and was a Cheerleader. She met everyone with a smile and never met a stranger. She loved her family and friends and particularly loved and was fond of her boys. Throughout their lives, she was there and supported them in all of their sports activities. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, working crossword puzzles, and watching t.v. shows including, 20/20, Dancing with the Stars, and any criminal investigation show.
Left to cherish her memories are her parents; Eddie and Kathy Tunks of Bakersville; her sons; Kyler, Kaleb, and Kolton Hoilman all of Bakersiville; her sister; Sarah Meade and husband, Donovan of Burnsville; her brother; Daniel Tunks and wife, Amy of Spruce Pine; her paternal grandfather; Henry Tunks of Cherokee, AL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Ann Hoilman on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Bear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Bruce Cannon, Dale Buchanan and Chris Rathbone officiating. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
