Stith is New Toe Cane Watershed Coordinator

Felix Stith has been named the new Toe-Cane Watershed Coordinator for Blue Ridge Resource Conservation and Development. Blue Ridge Resource Conservation and Development  helps the communities of Avery, Mitchell, Yancey, Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany and Wilkes counties address the needs and opportunities in the area of water and land management, community development and land conservation.  Stith graduated from Mountain Heritage and UNC-Asheville. He then worked helping maintain orchard health with water usage and quality on a fruit farm in Costa Rica and an olive farm in Spain and as a forestry subcontractor for the US National Parks Service on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
