Mitchell County Commissioners held a special board meeting, Tuesday, December 10th and unanimously approved former County Manager and current mayor of Bakersville Charles “Chuck” Vines as the Interim County Manager. Commissioner Danny Burleson was serving as acting County Manager since December 2nd when the board voted to replace Kathy Young. The board also unanimously approved former Clerk to the Board Crystal Young as Interim Clerk to the Board and Anne Castro as Interim Human Resources Director.
