J. C. Foxx, 76, of Fox Creek, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 3, 2020, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Joe Frank and Priscilla Chandler Fox. He was the husband of Billie Jean Hensley Foxx who died in 2015. J. C. was also preceded in death by a sister: JoAnn Fox.
He enjoyed rock hunting and panning for gold.
Surviving are 2 sons: Chad Foxx and Don Foxx and wife, Debbie, both of Fox Creek; 6 grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; a brother: Rev. Gary Fox and wife, Marilda, of Asheville; and, many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 7PM Monday, January 6, 2020 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the James Hensley Family Cemetery on Fox Creek.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
