Mitchell County has been selected by NCGrowth of the Kenan Institute at the University of North Carolina, to conduct an outdoor recreation asset mapping study. This project will consist of an inventory of businesses and industries related to outdoor recreation. It will also include recommendations for marketing and strategies to attract visitors and additional businesses.
