This past Tuesday evening with around 160 in attendance, Mitchell County was able to hear from 10 of the candidates running for the position of Mitchell County Commissioner. The candidates were questioned by: Brian Barrier with the Blue Ridge Christian News, Brandon Roberts with the Mitchell News Journal and Bruce Ikard with WTOE. Questions poised included those submitted by members of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, the event’s sponsor, and by the public through the Chamber’s Facebook Site. Bob Hensley was the Moderator. The forum was recorded and will be broadcast on WTOE 1470 AM Friday at 1:00 p.m.
