Jearldine Ward Tipton, age 66, of the Jacks Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at her home.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Ruby Willis Ward and wife of the late Larry Tipton. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Thurline Ledford.
Jearldine loved everyone and enjoyed being outdoors.
Surviving is her daughter, Shelly Carroll and husband, Kelly. of Burnsville; son, Stephen Tipton and wife, Crystal, of Burnsville; sister, Susie Bennett and husband, Ricky, of Jacks Creek; grandchildren: Payce Carroll, Caden Carroll, Baylee Tipton, Braylen Tipton and Peyton Tipton; brother-in-law, Jerry Ledford; nephews: Matthew, Mark and Ryan. Several cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Ricky Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Briggs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
