Healthcare Agency’s will not just randomly come to your home. If there was a situation in which they need to visit, they would first call and make arrangements to come.
In Yancey County there has been a report of fake health care workers randomly showing up at a home for Covid 19 screening and testing. This will not happen with legitimate Agencies.
If someone does attempt come to your home without first calling and making arrangements, ignore them if possible. Do not open your home. If you can SAFELY from inside your home get a description of them, their car, and car tag number. Then report the information to the Yancey County Sheriff’s Office at 828-682-2124. If at any time you feel threaten dial 911.
