Edna Griffith, age 80, of Red Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27th, 2020 at Blue Ridge Hospital.
A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of Ruby Tipton and the late Garrett Tipton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Griffith; son, Dean Griffith; sister, Evelyn Garland; brother, Wade Tipton; brother-in-law, John Garland; sister-in-law, Jane Tipton; and niece, Benita Maney.
Edna loved her family, being outdoors, and visiting at the Senior Citizen Center. She was a knowledgeable, caring, and hardworking lady.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Ruby Cecil Garland, is her son, Rodney Griffith; brother, Wayne Tipton; sister, Elaine Laws (Dale); sister-in-law, Davenia Tipton all of Red Hill; and granddaughter, Olivia Griffith, of Spruce Pine. Numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be held at Ridgeview Cemetery. Speaker Kevin Tipton will officiate.
