Vernon M Riddle, 91, formerly of the Bolens Creek community, went to join his beloved wife of 63 years, Ena Kate Smith Riddle, where together they are Giving God Praise, March 27, 2020 in LaPlata, Maryland.
A native of Yancey County, he was the last surviving child of the late Quillian and Delphia Wheeler Riddle. Vernon was a US Navy Veteran, a retired Master Mechanic and a member of Bolens Creek Baptist Church. After retirement he and his wife returned to Burnsville where together they enjoyed their dreams of his farm and her log home.
Vernon is survived by his daughter: Rebecca West and husband, Myles, and his son, Dale Riddle and wife, Sandy, both of Southern,MD; two grandchildren: D J Riddle and Jennifer West; and a great grandson: Donovan West, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Saturday April 4, 2020 in the McCracken Cemetery. His Pastor, Dr. Chris Morgan, will officiate.
