Rema Mae Holder Ogle, age 76, of the Newdale Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 4th, 2020 at her home.
A native of Alachua, FL., to the late Barney Elmer Holder, Sr. and Ola Mae Hall Holder.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ogle and a brother, Elmer Holder.
Rema was a member of Halls Chapel Baptist Church. She was a very caring and compassionate person, always helping others.
Rema enjoyed farming, canning, sewing and studying her family history.
Surviving is her daughter, Jeannette Petty of Burnsville; sister, Juanita Burnett of Summerville, FL and two nephews: Tim Burnett of Alachua, FL and Charles Holder and wife, Tammy, of Gainesville, FL. Several cousins, her church family and many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Holt Whitson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blue Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
