Genevieve Lottahall, age 91, of Burnsville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at her son’s home in Middleburg, Florida.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Warner and Mamie Young Wilson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lottahall; a brother, Warner “Hank” Wilson, Jr. and sisters: Peggy Barnett and Margaret Wilson Shade.
Genevieve was a faithful Christian woman that loved her family and the beautiful mountains of Yancey County.
Surviving is her loving husband, of 64 years William David Lottahall Sr.; sons: David Lottahall, Jr. ( Lorraine) of Bristol, VA and Dean David Lottahall (Rita) of Middleburg, FL; daughters: Lenore Lottahall of Florida, Phyllis Watkins (Charles) of Asheville, NC and Tammy Crisp (Raymond) of Crete, IL. Numerous extended family members also survive.
Funeral Service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, May 30th, in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Pastor: Bryant Owen and Mr. David Lottahall Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Marrietta Adkins Cemetery.
