McDowell County Man Disrupts Church Service

Lt. Derrick McGinnis, of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, said Joshua Adam Taylor of Marion, was arrested for showing a weapon and disrupting an outdoor church service. Deputies were called at about noon on Sunday, May 24th to the  Cross Mill Church of God on Old Highway 10 West. The caller said a man was brandishing a weapon. They found Taylor with a metal knife sharpener and a soldering torch. According to authorities, he refused to obey deputies’ instructions. Taylor was charged with disrupting a religious service and resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer.
