July 15th is Tax Return Deadline

Tax Return deadline usually means April 15th but this year, like so many things, that has changed due to COVID-19 .The tax deadline was pushed back from April 15, to next Wednesday July 15. Your 2019 tax return must be filed by midnight July 15, or you can request an extension to file your return. Penalties and interest will begin to accrue on any remaining unpaid balances as of July 16. If you file a paper return at the last minute, you can expect a delay in the processing of any refund, as IRS stopped processing paper returns in March as many employees were forced to deal with stay-at-home guidelines and social distancing rules.

You can get more information and file your return for free online, at IRS.gov.
