Kim Downer, age 59, of Battle Branch Road in Bakersville, the Buladean community, died Friday, September 4, 2020.
Born on February 7, 1961 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the Beatrice Buchanan Downer. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother; Zane Downer and a granddaughter, Alyssa Downer.
Kim was a self-employed tile contractor. He was known as a master tile installer that was very talented with his craft. He was hard working and could also repair anything. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Julie Downer of the home; his son; Alex Downer of Burnsville his daughter; Serena ‘Missy’ Downer of the home; his sisters; Hilda Downer of Sugar Grove and Teresa ‘Lou’ Trice of Burnsville; and his grandchildren; Jacob Silvers and Hannah Downer.
