Timothy ‘Tim’ Critcher

Timothy ‘Tim’ Critcher, age 54, passed away on September 3, 2020 at U.N.C. Lenoir Health System in Kinston, NC.

Tim was born on May 18, 1966 in Avery County. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Wendell Critcher; his brother, Jonathan Critcher; his stepfather; Wayne Duckworth; and his stepbrother; Dwayne Duckworth.

Tim was always a very special person. Once he met you, he never forgot you. He loved to preach, going to church and his Bibles. He loved ‘going out to eat’, his church suits, and his neckties. He also loved listening to ‘good ole’ gospel music and preaching. Tim’s genuine love and affectionate heart for God and things of God was like no other. He is now speaking and thinking clearly and enjoying his Heavenly home in the presence of the ONE who created him. Tim truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother; Ann ‘Miss Ann’ Cook Critcher Duckworth; his sisters; Hannah Critcher Moye of Kinston, NC and Grace Critcher Eggers and husband, Tim of Statesville, NC; his brother; David Duckworth of Spruce Pine; his stepbrother; Tony Duckworth and wife, Hazel of Parrottsville, TN; and his stepsister; Tonia Duckworth Hughes and husband, Chris of Elizabethton, TN. He also has many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services and burial will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Temple Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dana Williams officiating.
