Marcheta Burnette Wyatt

Marcheta Burnette Wyatt, age 70, of McKinney Mine Road in Spruce Pine, the Little Switzerland community, died Monday, September 7, 2020 at her home.

Born on May 10, 1950 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Claude Burnette and Zeddie Biddix Burnette. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her son; Kevin Wyatt.

Marcheta was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Baxter’s Healthcare in North Cove. She loved her church and church family. She enjoyed watching many preachers and preaching on TV.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband; Danny Wyatt of Spruce Pine; her mother; Zeddie B. Burnette of Spruce Pine; her brother; Rev. Greg Burnette of Spruce Pine; and her special daughter; Lisa H. Hoilman of North Cove and special sister; Nancy Hollifield Vance of Spruce Pine.

A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Faith Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 4:00 pm at the Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Greene officiating. Interment will be in the Burnette Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special ‘Thank You’ to Lori Perry who was the biggest strength for Marcheta and for her wonderful, loving care.
