Leonard Wayne Tipton, age 85, of the Red Hill Community, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 20th, 2020 at his home.
A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of Ruby Garland Tipton of Red Hill and the late Garrett Tipton.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Webb Tipton; sisters: Evelyn Garland and Edna Griffith and a brother, Wade Tipton.
Wayne was a member of Ridgeview Presbyterian Church who loved his family, playing softball, watching the Braves, if they were winning, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Ruby, is his daughter, Sharon Barnett and husband, Jerry, of Red Hill; son, Mike Tipton and wife, Carolyn, of Jacks Creek; grandchildren: Leah Miller and husband, Dustin, of Red Hill, Jared Barnett of Red Hill and Lucas Tipton and wife, Melissa, also of Red Hill; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Easton and Kimber Miller and Landon Tipton. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23rd in the Ridgeview Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Speaker Kevin Tipton will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Dustin Miller, Jared Barnett, Lucas Tipton, Isaiah Tipton, Dale Laws and Mike Renfro.
