Frontier Communications will be performing a required equipment upgrade at 1 a.m. on Thursday, October 15th for their Burnsville network facility. During this time no internet or phone service will be available. The work is expected to take no more than an hour. All cell towers served by the Burnsville office will also be affected, except for potential signal from towers that overlap on the edges of the Burnsville service area. Emergency Management has provided an alternate number to call for emergencies. Instead of calling 9-1-1 during the outage call 678-9463 or travel to your closest local fire department. Depending on your cell phone setup, you may receive an emergency public notice alert on your cell phone about the expected maintenance.
