The body of a young woman was found Friday, November 27 in the Cane River section of Yancey County. Two hunters were near Flat Top when they discovered the deceased body with an apparent gun shot wound to the head. The hunters immediately contacted the Yancey County Sheriff’s Department. The case is under investigation.
