Larry Gene Huskins, age 68, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Memorial Mission Hospital. He was a native of Yancey County. He was the son of the late Virgil and Lula Huskins and one of the youngest siblings of 10. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Garry Huskins, as well as brothers, Herman Huskins and Albert Huskins, and one sister, Arbula Huskins. Larry was a likable and outgoing person as well as hard working. He was very loved by his family and will be very missed.
Surviving is his son : Shawn Huskins (Becky) of Seven Mile Ridge and daughter: Shannon England (Jonathan) of Barnardsville, grandsons: Gus and Max England; brothers: Roy Huskins (Hazel) and Ray Huskins (Norma) of Seven Mile Ridge, Marie Dale (late Sanford) of Old Fort, Jean Gouge (late Phillip) of Blue Rock, and Barbara Gurly (late Joe) of Asheville.
A graveside memorial will be conducted Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery located on Seven Mile Ridge. Rev. Jonathan England will officiate.
