Rodney Eugene Bailey, age 66, of the Hardscrabble Community, passed away on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Peggy Fox Bailey of Burnsville and the late Sidney D. “Junior” Bailey, who passed away in 2013. He was also preceded in death by a cousin, which he considered a brother, Jeff Bailey.
Rodney was a drywall contractor and was a partner in Bailey and Phillips Drywall in Burnsville.
Surviving is his mother, Peggy Fox Bailey; brother, Brady Bailey and wife, Amy, of Lexington; nephew, Aaron Bailey and a host of friends.
No services are planned. The family requests no visits, food, flowers or cards be sent.
