Barbara Ann Hensley, age 79, the South Toe Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2021.
A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Ashford and Lena Shook Dellinger. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Briggs.
Barbara was a member of Browns Creek Baptist Church. She loved to do crafts and loved her grandbabies.
Surviving is her loving husband of 65 years, Joe Hensley; daughters: Cindy Briggs of Spruce Pine and Mary Ray (James) of South Toe; grandchildren: Summer Phillips, SuVannah Scott, Ashley Stevens (Jeremy) and Santana Wright (Seth); great-grandchildren: Elijah, Ashton, Bella, Ava, Asher, Adam, Kimberlynn and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
