Lawrence Snyder, age 86, of Old N.C. 226 in Spruce Pine, the Grassy Creek community, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at his home.
Born on February 10, 1934 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Wilburn and Grace Buchanan Snyder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, David Snyder; his brothers; George and Avery Snyder and his sister; Bessie Helms.
Lawrence was a member of the Pine Branch Baptist Church and was a former Deacon. He was retired from Crane Resistoflex in Marion and had also worked at Air Pre-Heater. He loved to eat and also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of sixty years; Nancy B. Snyder of the home; his son; Stephen Snyder of Spruce Pine; his sisters; Mary Biddix of Spruce Pine and Charlotte Hall of Georgia.
