Mary Hollifield Dale, age 92, of Parkside Court in Littleton, NC, formerly of Spruce Pine, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 in a Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina hospital.
Born on May 2, 1928 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Clay and Lillian Wiseman Hollifield. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dale who passed away in 1994.
Mary was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and was a humble person that never wanted to be first. She was a kind daughter and caregiver to her parents, a loving and faithful wife, and a loving and supportive mother and friend. She worked in the cottage craft industry for three years and as a baker for the restaurant at Crabtree Meadows for ten years. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and visiting family and friends.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Mike Dale and wife, Vera of Spruce Pine; Janis Whitson of Littleton, NC; Pat Dale and wife, Gay of Newland; and Joan Smith of Kernersville; her grandchildren; Glenn Dale, Shawn Dale, Lynn Stolp, Holly Flaherty and husband, Teddy, Summer Crosby and husband, Bing, Clay Dale and wife, Meg, Jennifer Gowl and husband, Adam, and Jessica Smith; great grandchildren; Isaiah Dale, Jacob Paul Stolp, Joshua Caleb Stolp, Autumn Mary Stolp, Hannah Ruth Crosby, Abigail Crosby, Lydia Crosby, Teagan Dale, Ezekiel Dale, and Joshua Gowl.
A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Clay Dale officiating. Burial will be in the Grassy Creek Memorial Gardens.
Serving as Pallbearers will be; Mike Dale, Pat Dale, Bing Crosby, Glenn Dale, Joshua Gowl, and Ezekiel Dale.
