Jake Henson, age 93 of Burnsville, passed away Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at his home.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Oscar and Zonia Bowditch Henson.
He was also preceded in death by sons, Willie and Shane Henson; brothers: Joshua Henson, Grover Henson and Frank Henson; and sisters: Lucille Turner and Elizabeth Boyd.
Jake was a skilled brick mason and farmer; he also was a proud World War II Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Violet Henson of Burnsville; daughters: Jeanette Henson and Rev. Cathy Henson of Asheville, Wilma Henson and Vicky Young of Burnsville; sons: Walter and Melvin Henson; sister, Freda Marie Young of Burnsville; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be announced and held at a later date.
