Shirley Ann Boone, age 68, of the Crabtree Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at her home.
A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Carrie Davis Frye. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris McKinney; two brothers: Tommy Frye and Leon Frye; sister-in-law, Jessie Frye and great-nephew, Charles Robert Frye.
Shirley loved her family dearly especially her great-grandson, Jaxton.
She enjoyed going out to eat, drag racing, soap opera shows, joking and laughing with her family and friends.
Surviving is her only daughter, Amanda Frye of the home; grandchildren: Tanova Brewer and husband, Christopher, of Old fort and Tyra Frye of Raleigh; great-grandson, Jaxton Brewer; brother, Ike Frye and wife, Jewell, of Seven Mile Ridge; sister, Irene Frye of Ocean Isle, NC; sister-in-law, Lois Frye of Burnsville; best friend, Shirley Winters of Crabtree and her little dog, Sophie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6th at Crabtree Baptist Church. Rev. Dallas Renfro, Rev. Raymond Phillips and Jason Kritz will officiate. Burial will follow in the Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Yancey Funeral Services to assist with funeral expenses.
