Rhonda Hensley Thomas, age 60, of the Jacks Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29th, 2021 at her home unexpectedly.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Molt and Connie Bryant Hensley. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and her cats but mostly she loved her family.
Surviving is her loving husband, Steve Thomas; step-daughter, Karen Wilson and husband, Scott, of Burnsville; step-grandchildren: CJ Wilson, Dakota Wilson and wife, Sidney, and Dustin Ray; step, great-granddaughter, Tianna Ray; sisters-in-law: Glenda Thomas of Green Mountain, Sharon Waddell and husband, Rocky, of Rockingham and Yvonne Renfro of Marion and her best friend, Michelle Jenkins.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 3rd in the Thomas Family Cemetery. Rev. Philip Garland will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Dakota, Scott, CJ, Rocky, John and Dustin.
