Andy Phillip Hylemon, age 89, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Bryan and Estoy Higgins Hylemon. He was preceded in death by his childhood love and wife, Caroyln Angel Hylemon, and later found love again and married Kathy Hylemon, who passed away on February 12th, 2020. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nina Butner and two brothers, Ray and Creed Hylemon.
Surviving is a daughter, Judy Danner and husband, Barry; grandchildren: Carolyn Bush and husband, Bill, Ray Buchanan and wife, Rachel and Frances Danner and great-grandchildren: Christopher Roby and Brittany Roby. Also surviving is a special niece, Jeannette Sheldrick and husband, Larry.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 12th in the Edwards Cemetery. Rev. Stacey Elkins will officiate.
