Tania Danielle Shepherd, age 37, of Alexander, (Buncombe County, NC), passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2021.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of Marilyn Davis Barry and the late Dennis John Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her Papaw, Lewis Davis, who passed away March 6, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather and grandmother, John and Ruby Shepherd.
Tania attended North Buncombe High School and was a member of Alexander Baptist Church. She loved basketball, softball and animals. From an early age, she was rescuing animals and bringing them home.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Marilyn Barry, is her daughter and love of her life, Riley Alyssa; brother, Johnathan Lewis Shepherd (Jackie) of Burnsville; Memaw, Elsie Davis of Asheville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and three special nephews, Bryson, Dennis and Jackson Shepherd. Half-sisters: Stephanie Ponder and Stacie Bruce also survive.
The family will have a private service, with Rev. Gerald Sprinkle officiating.
