Paul Dean Wilson, 84, of Burnsville, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021. “PD” loved a good round of golf and never met a stranger. He loved to tell tall tales and was a fine builder of birdhouses. But more than anything, PD loved to spend time with with his wife, Millie.
PD was born on January 11, 1937, to parents Elliott Talbot Wilson and Agnes Wilson of Philippi, West Virginia. He was a 50 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and spent time working in Washington, St. Augustine, and West Palm Beach before settling on his farm in the Concord Community in Yancey County.
PD is survived by his wife, Milidene Baker-Wilson of Burnsville.
The family is thankful for the loving support of their church family at First Baptist Church of Burnsville.
A celebration of life will be held for PD at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 2nd in the parking lot of First Baptist Church of Burnsville.
