Update On Boone Shooting

Last week five people were killed in Boone after a 13 hour standoff. Watagua County Sheriff Len Hagaman says the shooter, Isaac Barnes, who killed two deputies and his parents, had recently threatened his father with a knife. The alleged assault prompted Isaac Barnes’ family to go to a magistrate for assistance. Barnes’ father also called the county sheriff’s office for help. It all ended on Wednesday, April 28th when officers found Barnes, his mother and father all dead. Watagua County K-9 Deputy Logan Fox died at the scene. Sgt. Chris Ward died after being flown to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.

Services for Christopher Ward and Logan Fox will be conducted Thursday, May 6, at 3 PM at the ASU Holmes Convocation Center.

Doors will open to the public at 1 PM. Those attending are asked to wear a mask.
