Charles Wilson, age 77, of Busick, passed away on Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 at his home.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Ervin and Hattie Chrisawn Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: David and Jack Wilson.
Charles worked at Collins and Aikman for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, NASCAR and Chevrolet cars. Charles loved his family dearly.
Surviving is his daughters: Charlene Fox (Chad) of Burnsville and Jennifer Wilson (Brooks); son, Jeremy Wilson of Old Fort; grandchildren: Brittany Marsh (Sam) and Austin Taylor (Maria); great-granddaughter, Adalynn Taylor; sister, Brenda Autrey (Jimmy); brothers: Phillip Wilson (Sue) and Stanley Wilson; the mother of his children, Sheila Hartwell of Old Fort and his bird, Shadow. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 14th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Robinson Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Sgt. E.L. Randolph Chapter #57.
