The 74th Annual North Carolina Rhododendron Festival pageant was held this past weekend in Bakersville.
The Pageant was held at Bowman Middle School Friday and Saturday. Saturday night featured the crowning of the 2022 Queens.
In the Junior Queen Division the Congeniality award went to Ava Grace Effler of Marion. 2nd Runner up was Sophia Garland of Bakersville. The 1st runner up and talent winner was Malaina Blanton of Mooresville. The interview and evening gown winner and the 2022 NC Junior Rhododendron Queen is Alyssa Hemphill of Marion.
In the Queen Division Alora Wilson of Bakersville was named the 2nd runner up as well as the evening gown winner. Sarah Beth Howard of Wilmington was 1st runner up, talent winner and received the Congeniality award.
Taylor Loyd of Mooresville was the interview and swimsuit winner and crowned the 2022 NC Rhododendron Queen.
