Ronnie Lane Callahan, 69, of Bakersville, NC passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Brian Center of Weaverville. He was the son of the late Floyd and Elsie Tipton Callahan.
Ronnie was a heavy equipment operator, and he loved horses, coon hunting, going to auctions and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Wise and brothers, Dave Callahan and Floyd Callahan Jr.
Survivors include his sons: Timothy Callahan (Patricia) of Unicoi, TN and Jason Callahan (Kara) of Canton, NC; daughter, Ashley Rizzo of Kings Mtn, NC; sister, Faye Freeman of Bakersville, NC; brother, Eddie Callahan of Shelby, NC; special friend, Diana Austin; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Red Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Wise officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Phillips Cemetery.
