Lola Lear Bradford

Lola Lear Bradford, age 70, went home to be with Lord on Thursday, July 29th, 2021 in the Brian Center. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mafra Bailey Fox. She was also preceded in death by a husband, Ralph Bradford; a daughter, Nancy Denise Thomas; sisters: Claudine Arrowood, Virginia Thompson, Bernice Arnold, Mary Sue Garland, and Shirley Fox; brothers: Bill Fox and Philip Fox. Lola was a member of Green Mountain Freewill Baptist Church. Lola enjoyed life and loafering with her sister. She never met a stranger, and was a friend to all.

Surviving is her daughter, Karen Wilson, and husband, Scott; son, John Bradford, and girlfriend, Hayley, all of Burnsville; grandchildren: Dustin Ray, Dakota Wilson and girlfriend, Sidney, and C.J. Wilson; great-granddaughter Tianna Ray; sister, Betty Tipton; brother, James Fox and wife, Mona, of Burnsville; and sister-in-law, Polly Fox. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 2nd, in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Preacher Steve Penland and Preacher Darrell Tipton will officiate.  Burial will follow in the McCracken Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
