John Alvie Ledford, Jr., age 68 of Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, August 10th, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Alvie and Pantha Ogle Ledford.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters: Elizabeth Laws, Pauline Chandler, and Nellie Chandler; three brothers: Jack Ledford, Bruce Ledford, and Ray Buchanan.
He worked as an assembler for Buck Stove for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ledford, of the home; sisters-in-law, Mary Ledford and Margaret Jarrett; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, August 15th at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Reverends CJ Robinson and John Hudgins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ledford Cemetery on Bantam Branch Road near Colbert’s Creek Church in Burnsville.
