Yancey County Schools Superintendent Kathy Amos announced yesterday schedule adjustments related to the Delta variant numbers for the schools next week.
Grade Pre K-5 will have seated Instruction. Grades 6-12 will have seated Instruction and Virtual Instruction for One Week.
Beginning Monday, September 13th through Friday, September 17th students in grades 6 -12 who are not in quarantine are to be seated in school and socially distanced each day.
Students who are absent due to quarantine, from the Toe River Health Department, will be required to join and actively participate with all of their classes virtually for the week of September 13th.
Beginning Monday, September 20th students in grades 6-12 will be back to seated instruction.
The Yancey County School System continues to encourage students and families to wear a mask, be vaccinated, be tested, and stay home when not feeling well.
