The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department has a new cop on patrol. As the newest Sheriff’s Office employee, Drago joins the team to specialize in search and rescue and drug confiscations. Drago is a 2 year old handsome, black Shepherd/Malinois. He was purchased for $11,000 at OnPoint K9 in Kentucky. This is the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department’s second K-9 officer. Drago’s handler is Lt. Daron Holmes.
