Ray Alvin Burleson, 64, of the Buladean Community, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, September 16th, 2021.
He worked millwright construction for 30 years and Sibelco for 15 years.
Ray loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He enjoyed working, camping, spending time with his family and car shows.
He was a member of Odom’s Chapel Church and attended Roans Chapel Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Rachelle Burleson; his father and mother, Farrell and Martha Burleson, and brothers: Roger and Michael Burleson.
Left to honor and cherish him is his wife of 46 years: Debra Burleson; daughter, Tanya Ambrose (Greg) of Buladean; son, Jamie Burleson (Shelean) of Florida; son, Coty Burleson (Shaina) of Tipton Hill and his grandchildren that he was so crazy about: Chase and Charley Ambrose, Clarissa and Oscar Burleson, and Hunter and Baby Burleson.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 20th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Marvin Sheets, Rev. Randy English and Rev. Keith Tipton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
