Brenda Wilson, age 65, of U.S. Hwy. 19-E North in Newland, the Frank community, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 24, 1955 in Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Troy Hoilman and Beulah Buchanan who still survives. She was a member of Western Carolina Church in Spruce Pine.
Brenda loved baking delicious cakes and she shared those cakes with family and friends. More important to her was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach and to Disney World with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Terry Wilson of the home; her son; Neil Wilson and wife, Lindsay of Newland; her daughter; Amanda Buchanan and husband, Michael of Lebanon, TN; her mother; Beulah Buchanan Hoilman of Newland; her granddaughters; Carolina Wilson and Robin Buchanan; her grandson; Quinn Wilson; her sisters; Sandra Pitman and husband, Alan of Plumtree and Kim Hicks and husband, Larry of Roan Mountain, TN; and her brother; Wayne Hoilman and wife, Rachel of Crab Orchard.
A memorial service will be on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Western Carolina Church with Rev. David Hobson officiating.
