Raymond Allan “Ray” Fox, age 80, of Burnsville, passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021.
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was a son of the late William and Laura Pitts Fox. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Fox.
Ray was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era.
He co-owned and operated Georgia Truck Driving Academy for many years. He enjoyed auto racing and most sports, but his passion was cooking. He loved cooking dishes and meals at his church, Higgins United Methodist Church.
Surviving is his loving wife of 37 years, Virginia “Ginny” Fox; sons: Kevin Fox (Lydia) of Warwick, Rhode Island and Darrin Fox (Amy) of Mahomet, Illinois; daughter, Cathy Munley (Mike) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren: D.J., Danny, Laura, Anna, Madelyn and Jacob; and nephews and nieces: Jeff Fox (Claudia), Larry Fox (Toni) and Jill Hernandez (John).
A memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced.
