Wendy Denice Miller, age 55, of the Cane River Community, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021.
A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Junior and Dale Miller. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Randy Miller and special friend, Laura Mathis Woodby.
Wendy was a 1984 graduate of Mountain Heritage High School. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter, Lesley Bryant and husband, David, of Mars Hill; son, Cody Woodby and wife, Sarah, of Burnsville; grandchildren: Addison Woodby and Isaac Austin and her brother, Allen Miller and wife, Melissa, of Bald Creek. Several other extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, October 22nd in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Brother Scottie Cole will officiate. Burial will follow in the Byrd Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 noon prior to the services at the funeral home.
