William Douglas McCracken, age 78 of Connelly Springs, passed away October 20th, 2021 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Harry and Bessie Ellison McCracken. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie Ellison; and two sisters: Shirley Martin and Geneva Ellison.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had spent his life working as an assembler for Catawba Paper Box Company in Hildebran, NC.
Surviving is his sister, Luchia Marjorie June McCracken, of Grey, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 28th at 12 PM in the McCracken Cemetery. Reverend Blair Harvey will officiate.
