Truman Pittman, age 75, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, TN. Truman was a native of Swannanoa in Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Grady and Dora Calloway Pittman. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Truman was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed been outdoors and spending time with his family. He loved to fish, hike and ride bicycles. He also loved his dogs that were affectionately know as his girls; Shasta and Snowflake. Truman was a logger in Yancey County, Washington State and South Carolina all of his life, and was of the Christian faith.
Surviving is his wife, Nancy Dorsey Pittman: daughters, Christina Pittman of Elizabethton, TN, Mary Clark (Robbie) of Waterloo, SC, Dora Pittman of Piedmont, SC and Tracie Laws of Marietta, SC, grandchildren: Raymond, Cody, Michael, Melanie, Matthew, Alaina, Daniel, Austin, Haley, Dyllan, Alley, Breanna and Harley, great-grandchildren: Conner, Blake, Landon, Kinsley, Laseton, Brantley, and Braylon
