Mitchell County Schools has reported no drugs found on Friday, November 5th when local law enforcement did a random K9 sweep for drugs at Mitchell High School, Bowman Middle School and Harris Middle School. This type of drug search typically happens 2-3 times a year, but due to Covid, has not happened the last of couple years. Mitchell County Schools reported that NO drugs were found in any of the schools. Mitchell Schools appreciates law enforcement members for their hard work and drug prevention in the school system and they thank the students and parents as they all work together to keep drugs out of the schools.
