Dustin McKinney, 33, of Hendersonville, formerly of Spruce Pine, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Born on August 15, 1988 in Mitchell County, he was the son of Charlie McKinney and the late Ella Mae Pendley. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother; Joey McKinney.
Dustin was a member of the Sullins Branch Baptist Church. He was an outstanding husband and father. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and four wheelers. He also enjoyed being a truck driver.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Stephanie Nathanson McKinney of Hendersonville; his daughters; Savannah McKinney and Lizabeth Campbell both of Hendersonville; his father; Charlie McKinney and wife, Diane of Spruce Pine; and his sisters; Shanda Green and husband. Adam of Spruce Pine and Alicia Dellinger and husband, Cody of Spruce Pine.
A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Sullins Branch Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Sullins Branch Baptist Church with the Rev’s Ken Jenkins and Billy Ledford officiating. Interment will be in the Sullins Branch Cemetery.
