Barbara Hasty age, 77 went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2021 at the Yancey House. She was a resident of Spruce Pine since 1999. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wagner and Helen Gunnewick Wagner. Barbara enjoyed quilting, sitting on the porch watching the birds, going to Walt Disney World and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving is her loving husband Edward Hampton Hasty of 54 years; daughter, Andrea Tallent (George) of Gainsville, GA, son; Scott Hasty (Douglas Blocker) of Washington, DC, grandchildren: Nicolas Tallent of Athens, GA, and Stephanie Smith (Kyle) of Cumming, GA, sister-in-law; Barbara Redfern of Wilmington, NC and brother-in-law; Charles Hasty of Palatka, FL.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Blue Ridge and Yancey House and special caregivers Chris Hobson, Tiffany Burleson and Stuart Jenson.
