Barbara Burleson McClellan, age 62, of Bob Taylor Road in Newland, the Three Mile community, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home.
Born on November 4, 1959 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Martha Smith Burleson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers; Rudy and Scott Burleson and her sisters; Jill Biddix and Joy Williams.
Barbara enjoyed her family and spending time with them. She loved working in her flowers and she enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of twenty-five years; Doug McClellan of Newland; her son; Jamie Burleson of Newland; her stepson; Kevin McClellan of Newland and her stepdaughter; Karen Garland and husband, Shane of Linville; her brother; Morris Burleson and wife, Judy of Bakersville; her sisters; Naomi Gilbert of Bessemer City, NC and Kay Goble of Gastonia, NC; her grandchildren; Emily Hill and husband, Chris; Cody and Michael Burleson; her great grandson; Emeric Hill; her step grandchildren; Noah Garland, Josh McClellan, and Jordan McClellan.
A time to support the family, share memories, and receive friends will be on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Webb Funeral Home.
